BAQME is launching a crowdfunding campaign to grow in existing cities and expand to new markets, including Amsterdam. Since launching last year, BAQME has had 30,000 app downloads and facilitated over 60,000 rides.

Currently, BAQME has 350 active e-cargo bikes across the Netherlands and Belgium.
With the BAQME app anyone can rent an e-cargo bike on the go or for longer periods of time. The e-cargo bikes have 2 safety belts for kids, but they can also be used for groceries, transport luggage or any other personal belongings. In addition, BAQME e-cargo bikes are becoming increasingly popular with students and young professionals, who prefer active mobility over cars as well as other transportation methods such as emopeds or e-scooters.

Businesses are also increasingly looking to use BAQME’s E-cargo-bike-as-a-service product, a flexible monthly all-in e-cargo bike subscription, for their inner-city transportation and delivery
needs.

E-cargo bikes are suitable for many different use cases, which is why it is BAQME’s goal to make them
accessible to everyone.

“Mobility can promote social inclusion. Most people are either not able to or do not want to buy an e-cargo bike. Our e-cargo bikes ensure that everyone has access to one, creating a level playing field. With the proceeds from this crowdfunding, we hope to accelerate our mission of making e-cargo bikes available to everyone. We will add more e-cargo bikes to our current fleet and look to open new services to give even more people access to our bikes. We will also use this investment as a stepping stone to other countries.”

Souren Arakelian, Founder and CEO BAQME

Recently, BAQME started to offer a monthly subscription for people who do not want an e-cargo bike but
would like to enjoy the benefits of having one. This new service will be officially launched soon, particularly to new cities such as Amsterdam.

Since launching in Rotterdam, BAQME has expanded to The Hague and Ghent. In the near future, Eindhoven will be added as well. To give as many people as possible an easy way to become shareholder of BAQME, the company has chosen to partner with the crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.
